Biography

What I find most powerful about training, CrossFit specifically, is its direct correlation with shaping character.

When WoDs are difficult, you can feel and visibly see them make you stronger. You also observe that results come from hard work. There aren’t any spoiled kids in the box. Everything is earned and you own it. No one else is going to hand you your health, but a good community and knowledgable coaching can have your back and join you in the process.

My background is in football specific training. In college I learned how the technique of movements can rapidly increase results and keep athletes safe. Since then, I’ve closely observed and questioned some of the best strength coaches in the world of elite sports from Ryan Capretta (Pro-Active Sports Performance), Mike Boyle (MBSC), Luke Richesson (Head Strength Coach of the 2016 Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos), and many others.

After playing running back for the Toronto Argonauts in the CFL for several seasons and being forced into retirement by injury, I was hired as the head strength for the team. The following season I returned to playing and again experienced the results of knowledgable training and its positive effect on severe injuries.

Whatever your hurdle may be, we can find a way over, around, under, and beyond. That’s what I’ve learned from my coaches and I plan to share those lessons with our athletes.
